Occasionally we have either an older puppy or an adult that we have to look for a home for. Because we are limited in our numbers, no more than 8-10 Labs, and we try to keep a puppy from each litter, in order to stay within this range creates situations where one of our top picks is available to a pet home. These are puppies that at the time, we felt they had the potential to be better than some of our other dogs and possibly a bright future in the show ring. Because Labradors are so highly competitive in the ring (only around 2.6% of those shown actually finish their Championship) this allows one of these top picks to become available.
We also might have a girl that we are ready to retire from our breeding program. We only allow our girls to have three, possibly four litters in a special case. We feel this is important to be able to retire our girls early at five to six years old. This gives them over half their life to become a loving companion in someone's home.
These Labradors are already crate, lead, and house trained. While you would miss the cute "puppy stages", for the most part, the training has already been done. If you might have an interest in a Lab like this, check this page on a regular basis as several times a year we will have something available. Please note, all of our adults are only available on a Spay Neuter agreement and in most cases there is charge for these girls.
